RapidIdentity Product Guide


From the RapidIdentity Systems Menu, navigate to the Network menu to adjust network and firewall settings.


The Network submenus allow administrators to configure network parameters in Network Settings, define a proxy URL if necessary, update Firewall Settings, pl;access Network Diagnostics, and choose to restart the Networking or Firewall.  

Network Settings

The Network Settings submenu provides four menu items.

  1. IP Address, Gateway and DHCP

  2. Hostname

  3. DNS Servers

  4. Hosts File


Selecting the HTTP Proxy URL allow administrators to enter a proxy URL.

Firewall Settings

Firewall Settings opens the configuration file and those settings can be modified and saved. Even if no changes are made to the firewall file, the firewall is restarted every time the file is closed.  


Choosing to restart the Network or Firewall results in an automatic restart.


Network Diagnostics provides seven options to troubleshoot network issues pertaining to RapidIdentity.

  1. Devices

  2. Connections

  3. Routing Table

  4. ARP Table

  5. Ping

  6. TraceRoute

  7. NSLookup

Devices lists networked devices associated to RapidIdentity. If there are no networked devices associated to RapidIdentity then the table will be blank.

Connections opens a table describing Active Internet Connections. 


The Routing Table lists the Kernel IP Routing Table.


The ARP Table opens a table of existing IPv4 addresses in a given network. If there are no addresses then the table will be blank.

Ping, TraceRoute, and NSLookup all provide an input dialog to enter a Hostname or IP address to perform the action.  

Restart Networking or Firewall

These menu items, when chosen, will restart the selected item.
