RapidIdentity Product Guide

Installation and Updates

During the initial installation and subsequent updating of RapidIdentity appliances, the installation files and patches are downloaded from various internet repositories.

Since these repositories are maintained by each respective company – for example, Identity Automation controls our product download sources, CentOS and Amazon control other repositories, etc. – and are typically hosted on content server networks, the specific hostnames and IP addresses that each 'source' will access may change.

As such, we cannot provide an exact set of addresses or hostnames for which a customer can limit access.

Repositories and file stores are typically accessible over these three ports:

  • 80: HTTP

  • 443: HTTPS (Secured by SSL)

  • 21: FTP

To access repositories over any of the three protocols through the three listed ports, the servers must be allowed to access these outbound ports accordingly.
